kHyal Woodland Blips About Page kHyal is the Chief Imaginator at MegaGlam — a fresh, future-focused creative studio producing art, illustration, surface, product, textile and fashion design.

Since launching MegaGlam, her Pink Yeti characters were featured in Pictoplasma’s Post Digital Monsters show at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris, and the Pictoplasma Character Walk exhibition at Pavillon der Volksbühne in Berlin. She designed a Grand Prize Award for Hasbro Corporation’s Project Upcycle — and, was commissioned to design a special edition T-shirt for the 5th anniversary of the internationally acclaimed conference, A Better World by Design.

In 2013, her work was featured in the Photographers + Illustrators Showcase presented by the AIGA CT + American Society of Media Photographers, University of Bridgeport’s Schelfhaudt Gallery show Imagined Worlds, and the Affordable Art Fair–New York. Represented by Solange Guez + Arte Contemporáneo, she was the only US artist exhibited at EGGO Arte–Buenos Aires, a 60-gallery art fair and conference. Her apparel designs made the top street style lists of Sociéte Perrier, Fashion, Miami Curated, Mondrian Hotel’s Back of House and more during Art Basel Miami Beach.

In 2014, her work was featured in the Metro Show—New York, and chosen by fashion expert and television personality Kelly Cutrone and Carla Goldberg, Director of Manhattan’s Skylight Gallery, for the Fashion as Art exhibition and fashion show at Gallery 66 NY. She launched her MegaGlam I Do What I Want action apparel and performance art at Art Basel, Switzerland in June — and, Art Basel Miami Beach in December — where her work was featured in coverage from top media outlets and was included in Design Miami/’s Collectors Lounge “Designing Miami: Celebrating Ten Years” portraiture project and the VH1 Lounge at SCOPE.

In 2015, kHyal’s wearable art received media accolades at the LA Art Show’s 20th Anniversary VIP Preview. Her paintings were exhibited at Metro Curates in New York. Her work was included in the “Twisted Mouse” and “Kute As Fuh!” invitational shows at P!Q Grand Central. And, her MegaGlam and Weather sKwirl™ product lines launched in P!Q Grand Central, Rockefeller Center, Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas and Universal Walk Orlando. She was represented by P!Q at New York Comic Con and was a featured artist. Her work was included in several shows at the Con Artist Collective in NYC, and her Weather sKwirl™ limited edition pendants became available in the Con Artist retail storefront at 119 Ludlow Street. During Art Basel Miami 2015, kHyal’s wearable work was featured in coverage by T—The New York Times Style Magazine, FOX NEWS—The O’Reilly Factor —Watters’ World, The Miami Herald, South Florida’s PBS arm WLRN, Scope Art Show’s VH1 VIP Lounge, MontanaCans x Heineken at Scope Art Show, Billy Farrell Agency, Dean + Deluca’s Homage to Fromage project and Cultured Magazine’s installation at Design Miami/, Artslant and more.

kHyalkHyal’s illustration clients include: Post Road, Mondo 2000, The Net, ART/LIFE Limited Editions, New Media Showcase, Real Art Ways, PAPER, A Better World by Design and Lexion–Australia. She contributed to the books Mondo 2000: A User’s Guide to the New Edge by Rudy Rucker, R.U. Sirius and Queen Mu; Mutant Monkees Meet the Masters of the Multi Media Manipulation Machine by Davy Jones and was a contributing artist and author to Unstuck: 52 Ways to Get (and Keep) Your Creativity Flowing at Home, at Work & in Your Studio by Noah Scalin.
